Simple Bolognase sauce

To have a simple ready to go meal at the end of long day there is nothing better than spag bol, you can get this ready in 10 to 15 minutes

What I like to do is make up a batch of sauce when we are in a caravan park and using the camp kitchen and freezer.

So what do you need

Ingredients

1 kg of grade mince

Puree tomato “Italian passata 690g” x 2

Tomato paste 170g x 1

Dolmio, extra bolognase pasta sauce 500g x 2

Crushed garlic tablespoon

3 bay leaves

Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Brown the mince and reduce down to minimal liquor

Add the remaining ingredients

Simmer for at least 45 minutes stirring constantly

Add salt and peer to get the right flavour balance for you

Packing off

We use our vac packer and put about 12 generous spoonfuls per bag

Vac this down and flatten pouch

Place sealed pouches in the fridge individual layer

Come back in an hour and place in the freezer

Keep them flat so they easily stored in your freezer

To maintain food safety get you product down to less tan 5deg in 4 hours

When using

Defrost from frozen and gently heat in a saucepan and place over your cooked pasta
